BOGF was formed to provide BPS with resources which the school would not otherwise be able to afford. BOGF will further mobilze old girls and friends to give support to BPS and her girls in their development. The following is a summary of the activities sponsored by BOGF since its inception:

BOGF has arranged for 50 BPS girls to visit Lifeline Express in Guilin, Guangxi Province in November 2010. Lifeline Express is a charity which operates Eye-trains to render free operations to cataract patients living in the impoverished areas of China. It was a very meaningful experience for BPS girls.
Formation of English Speaking League in 2010 to improve on the English Speaking ability of BPS girls. 10 teams of 8-10 girls each were formed and the girls were, once a week, given an opportunity to take to and listen to their League Captains, who are successful figures in the society. The girls not only acquired better speaking skills, but were also be able to listen to the valuable life experience from their League Captains. The students and League Captains both enjoyed the weekly gatherings and a close friendship has built up. The League expanded in 2011 to allow more girls to join.
League Captains include Sir David Akers Jones, Sir T. L. Yang, Sir Roger Lobo, James Blake, Stephen Selby, Helen Seaton, Anthea Strickland, Junri Konii, Gillian Tong and Laura Dodwell.
In an effort to promote reading among students, Avid Reader awards were presented for outstanding achievement in both English and Chinese literature to those who demonstrated a strong commitment to reading. Additionally, since 2012, creative writing competitions in both languages were organized, with prizes awarded to the top three submissions from each grade level.
